Personal apex site at jonasruilong.com: who I am, then doors into other apps — not a résumé wall on the scroll path, and not where EDU or growth content lives.

Direction

• Scroll opera: Welcome → quant cutscenes between acts → themed worlds (EDU, Recipes, Music, Hobby, …) → Dock
• Person before profession on the main scroll; no CV bullets or job timeline in Act 0
• Pinned immersion: 2.5D ink / depth; each act stays pinned while its timeline runs; quality gates before expanding worlds
• Stack: Astro + React islands + GSAP / Three.js for the opera; thin FastAPI serves dist/, OAuth callback, /health — same deploy pattern as edu/auth, no Python in the animation hot path

Milestones

• 2026-05 — Direction locked; homepage hub started; scroll-opera structure chosen (Welcome → worlds → Dock); Made design of most scenes; 3D render of a Dragon; Cut scene between Welcome and EDU; Heart for Pau
• 2026-06 — Image Popups; Adding Content; CV in nav + Dock card + PDF link

Act structure (from plan)

1. Act 0 — Welcome — Switzerland → Shanghai → Switzerland → Zürich; ink dragon handoff into first quant cut
2. Cutscenes — Quant finance motifs between worlds (random walk, Brownian motion, vol smile, mean reversion, efficient frontier) — visual seasoning, not a trading UI
3. World stations — EDU first (MVP), then Recipes, Music, Hobby as ready
4. Dock — Portal grid; CV PDF and external links when CV milestone lands

Principles

• Scroll only (scrub forward and back)
• Restraint: ink, grid, negative space
• Degrade gracefully: 2D / static fallback on mobile and prefers-reduced-motion
• One wow gate before expanding every world
